Store Policies

Payments:

• Our online store uses Paypal to process payments.  Any major credit or debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted there or you can, of course, use your  Paypal account.
• If you’re making a purchase in person at the shop, we accept Visa, Mastercard, US Dollars, Travelers Checks (in US Dollars only!) or valid Hatteras Island Boardsports Gift Certificates.  Sorry, we do not accept checks.
• Orders shipped outside of North Carolina are exempt from Sales Tax.

Orders:

• Can be shipped anywhere in the US, or held at the shop for pickup (contact us to discuss pickup details).
• In stock items ship within one business day.
• Special Orders:  Please contact the shop if you’d like to order an item that you don’t see on our website.  We’ll do our best to get exactly what you want.  Special orders are not eligible for return or exchange.
• Special shipping arrangements are possible.  If you have specific requests, please call or email the shop prior to placing your order to make sure we can meet your needs.
• Whenever, multiple item orders will be shipped together and your shipping costs will be adjusted to reflect the savings.
• The shipping costs noted on your invoice may decrease, but they will never increase.

Returns/Exchanges:

We want you to be happy with your purchase.  If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible.  Items that meet all of the following requirements can be returned or exchanged for their full value (as noted on your receipt), minus shipping costs:

• The original valid receipt is required for all returns and/or exchanges.
• Items are eligible for return or exchange within 30 days of the original purchase date only.
• Items must be unused and in their original packaging, including any associated tags/paperwork/info/etc.
• Sale items and Special Orders are not eligible for the return/exchange program.

Items not meeting the above requirements might still be eligible for return or exchange, and may be subject to a re-stocking fee.  Contact us if there is any question.

We may collect some of your personal information in order to provide the best customer service possible.  We will never disclose any of your information with anyone else, unless you use our online payment processing service, Paypal. Read Paypal’s Privacy Policy here.  Read Paypal’s Security Policy here.  We do not, under any circumstances, keep your credit/debit card information on file.

If you offer us an email address for correspondence or an order, we may save it and occasionally send you information about Hatteras Island Boardsports Offers and Promotions.  You can opt out of this service by contacting us at anytime.
