Hatteras Island Boardsports is the result of a lifelong obsession with the Outer Banks of North Carolina and specifically the village of Avon on Hatteras Island. My brother and I have been coming to Avon our entire lives for family vacations and have been pounded in the Hatteras surf since we learned to swim. We discovered early on that this quiet strip of beach is where we belonged and, although we left for college and other jobs, we always found our way back & now we've got a good reason to stay! We've designed our surf shop to share our love for the area with both locals and tourists so, whether you are a seasoned local or a leisurely summer visitor, we'll have what you need to get the most out of Avon and Hatteras Island.
